It was really wonderful to be able to work as a photographer for a writer with the Metrotimes on a story about the Detroit Music Hall Jazz Cafe. Back pre-recession in my construction management career, I served as a Trustee at the Detroit Music Hall and was on the Building Committee. We worked on the concept for the Jazz Cafe in many meetings and I am always proud to walk into today's Jazz Cafe and know I was a small part of it's birth! We took a small unused and ignored space in the building and turned it one of the best jazz rooms ever...boom! That is vision. Skip Norris played a large role in that project as well as many others- but Skip deserves a shout out! Here's a photo of the paper with photo today. To read the story online go to this LINK.
