BIOGRAPHY
Born in the Detroit area of Michigan, Brita studied photo journalism as a minor while at Harvard pursuing a degree in architecture. Her main work today is music photography in many genres and settings throughout the USA and Canada.
Brita completed a music photography internship in 2016 with the Detroit Metro Times. Brita covered Michigan music concerts, festivals and two editorial shoots for the Detroit Metro Times an online and paper weekly. In addition, she has been a contributor writer and photographer to Ride The Tempo blog for Canadian music, Sound and Silence Magazine/Media, Brat Girl Media (specifically Bob Margolin), Fusion Arts Management (Richard Flohil), Analogue Gallery, Bilde Magazine in Riga Latvia, the ARK Ann Arbor, Ferndale Friends Newspaper, Detroit Blues Society, Blues Festival Guide Magazine & Webpage, and Big City Rhythm and Blues Magazine. Her photo of Blues artist Dani Nicole graced the 2020 cover of the Blues Festival Guide Magazine.
