ROCK n BLUES Tour - Freedom Hill

Thanks to my friend Arnie Goodman of NYC and Elmore magazine I was able to shoot the group TEN years After for him as he could not attend the show. He is managing this tour with them.

The Rock n Blues Tour of 2013 consists of Ten Years After, Pat Travers, Canned Heat, Edgar Winter, & Rick Derringer. To photograph at this outdoor venue was great- great daylight and great stage lighting with not a bad view in the entire house.

All the acts took me back to my childhood which was on the tail end of Woodstock - so to hear Canned Heat play their famous song from that era gave me goosebumps. Rick Derringer provided some cool Ringo Starr stories and Edgar Winter is in great physical shape- he darted across that stage with a keyboard hanging from his neck like it was nothing. Pat Travers Band rocked out even after having been in a car accident a few days prior to the show. And of course 10 Years After Leo Lyons and bandmates were the highlight of the night.

Thanks to Leo for answering a few interview questions as well - you are a knight in my book.
