July Talk | Detroit
I was so glad to be covering this show for the Detroit Metro Times this week. This major talent from Toronto blew the minds of the crowd at the Shelter underneath Saint Andrews Hall.
It's hard to describe this band in words- you really just have to go see them. It's deep voice, light voice, gritty and feminine - a mix of musicians who all work like a family- a improvisational stage like choreographed appearance without trying too hard. Pure bliss to see live- it's an addictive experience and I want to see more. It's an addiction I am not ashamed to talk about. Give me more July Talk! They started with Summer Dress careened to Paper Girl and Blood and Honey and it rocked!
Peter Dreimanis and Leah Fay up front.
