39th Ann Arbor Folk Festival

I am really lucky because I was able to land the assignment to cover the 39th Ann Arbor Fokl Festival this year. This two day festival which is fundraiser for the ARK, has a heritage, history and music lineage that is pretty mind blowing. This years two day line up provided a new take on the festival which was to ''mix it up'' a bit. Instead of dividing the days into the first day being more non traditional and the 2nd day being super straight folk- this year the planning team mixed it up. The result was really refreshing and made the whole experience cohesive and of course the cliche- there was something to like for everybody. As Joan Baez's guitar strap says it was ''practically perfect in every way."
