CD Cover for Jim McCarty

I enjoy covering blues at Callahan's Music Cafe in Auburn Hills whenever I can get a chance. This last year I made sure to cover one of my favorite subjects to shoot- mostly because he is incredible on the guitar and also he is a nice person in general. That person being Coco Montoya!

Detroit legend Jim McCarty arrived and sat in on a few songs with Coco and made the evening evening more special. I was elated to shoot these 2 dueling guitarists having fun playing riffs off each other and having a blast making such a special memory for all who were lucky enough to be at the show.

Little did I know that months later, Jim would approach me and inquire if he could use an image from that show on the cover of his new CD entitled "Jim McCarty and Friends II."

After some Photoshop and Lightroom tweaking, meetings at Mr B's Pub and a lot of emails- we decided on a final image. Here is it- hot off the press on the cover of the new CD! Congrats to Jim! What a pleasure to work with such a legendary guitarist who is from my hometown!
