David Mayfield | Ark Ann Arbor

Last year I saw and heard David Mayfield for the first time at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival and was floored. This bundle of humor, cynicism, creativity, pure musician talent and overall unique folk artist is one not to miss.

I enjoyed his humorous stage antics, but he is not a one trick pony - he really needs no antics to support him- his musical skills are honed and seasoned. Having worked with the Avett Brothers and many others, he is a serious force of creativity. He has to be- to be able to do so many things at the same time on stage- he is purely ''at home'' with his guitar and songwriting.

This time at the ARK Dave rallied the crowd to follow him up into the lobby for a special performance, it was of course not without a few leg kicks and somersaults. We love you "Dave Mafey."
